The duo was mobbed by crowds as they took part in a photo shoot and some filming duties at the exclusive Caribbean locale, with Kim and Justin cutely holding hands and splashing one another throughout the afternoon. The meet-up comes after Justin spent the previous night performing a concert at The Cove Resort following a long day of waterfront fun and basketball. A group of teens are camped outside the music station's building on Toronto's Queen Street West, queuing up for Saturday's wristband giveaway.

By Thursday afternoon, a line of tents snaked around the block. The wristbands, which allow entry into the June 20 bash, won't be handed out until Saturday at 8 a.m.

Sixteen-year-old Emily Isabelle had been waiting since Wednesday at 4 p.m., but said she was enjoying herself.

She just hasn't slept much.

"It's actually been really cool," she said. "I've met a lot of really cool people. I was laughing all night yesterday because everyone was just partying it up and just chilling.

"It was really hard sleeping, though. The lights and everything, it makes it look like it's daytime."

She said she was most excited to see mop-topped teen sensation Justin Bieber.

"Definitely," she said. "'Cause I love him, and he's Canadian."

Shauna Gigante of Bolton, Ont., arrived roughly a half-hour before Isabelle to nab her own prime spot in line, but didn't do so for Bieber's sake -- she's more interested in Drake, Adam Lambert and Down With Webster.

"I don't like Bieber," she said. "We're here for Drake, because he's Canadian. So is Bieber, but Bieber sucks."

Like many in line, she'd brought not only a tent, but also a tarp (in fact, she said she had three, just in case). She was also armed with a bundle of schoolwork, tucked away in her knapsack.

"I need to study," she said, as she leafed through an issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

Bieber and Drake seemed to have the most street-side support among camped-out fans.

Drake also leads with seven nominations going into the show, while Bieber has four.

Other nominees include Katy Perry, the show's co-host Miley Cyrus, and Adam Lambert, who had two of the most vocal fans in line.

Seventeen-year-olds Jamie Smith and Nicole Waskul decorated their campsite with a two-metre-high Lambert collage and other smaller dedications to the former "American Idol" contestant.

A team of security, meanwhile, patrolled the perimeter to moderate pedestrian flow and ensure the safety of the predominantly teenage crowd.

"It's very safe, very safe," said Sherri Warnes of Oshawa, Ont., who was chaperoning her daughter and four of her friends. "I'm just not a mom who wants to let girls under the age of 16 hang out on the street all night."

Twenty-two-year-old Brittany Nattrass and her friends, meanwhile, arrived from Ajax, Ont., a little later than many in line, taking their place around 10 a.m. on Thursday.

They're hoping to get wristbands and attend the show to celebrate a friend's birthday, and they came prepared with coolers, a ghetto blaster and a portable DVD player.

"It's a little girl trip, so it's fun," Nattrass said.

"We're getting a little bored, but it's OK."

Miley revealed to UK talk show host Graham Norton that Justin has taken to pranking Miley while she is touring in England:

[Justin Bieber] prank called me, not realizing the time difference yesterday, at like three o'clock in the morning. I was about to kill! He kept ringing! I was yelling because I thought it was someone that got my number; my number gets out. So I changed my number and he kept pranking me. I really did believe it was a kid or something so I was like, 'I can't really yell 'cause I think it's a kid but I'm not really sure.'

 

Finally, I was like [shouting], 'It's three o'clock in the morning!' He was like, 'Ha ha ha ha, it's Bieber. Call me back.' I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going to hurt this kid.' My little sister loves him, but I'm going to kill him.

What a devilish thing to do, Justin! Maybe the 16-year-old singer just has a crush on Miley and he is expressing it the only way he knows how: with pranks.

The concert, absolutely free to those lucky enough to win tickets was a huge event with over 800 fans getting tickets and many more who came to see if they could hear him by the gates. The security was tight, but the performance was hot. Justin Bieber rocked it out once again and gave his fans something to Tweet about on Twitter.com

What does 16-year-old Justin Bieber share in common with musical icons Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana and Britney Spears?

They all, at one time or another, have inspired record company executives en masse to aggressively sign up artists who sound, and sometimes even look, decidedly like them. Dylan’s brilliance sparked the signings of folkies from Donovan to Steve Forbert; Springsteen led to Joe Grushecky and John Cafferty; Nirvana minted Radish, Candlebox and countless others; Britney Spears begat Willa Ford.

Seizing on the opportunities created by a phenomenon like Bieber is nothing new, and it’s certainly not unique to the music business. But in the case of Bieber and the search for the next teen heartthrob, the pace at which it’s happening appears as frenzied as the girls who bum-rush Bieber for autographs after shows.

Perhaps the most extreme example is the preternaturally talented Greyson Chance, who in less than one month has secured two A-list managers and motivated a major TV personality to launch a record label. On April 28, Chance posted a YouTube video of himself covering Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” for his sixth-grade classmates in Oklahoma. Ellen DeGeneres booked the 12-year-old — who sports a swooping, Bieber-esque haircut — for a May 13 appearance on her ABC daytime show, then brought him back May 26 to announce that she’d launched her own record label, eleveneleven, and signed Chance as her first artist.

Though Chance was rumoured to have signed with Interscope the same week of his first Ellen visit, a representative for DeGeneres says, “A partnership with a major label is still in the works.”

Chance is comanaged by Guy Oseary (Madonna) and Troy Carter (Lady Gaga). A source familiar with the deal says that no material has been recorded yet, but Chance’s team is searching for music in the vein of Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida.”

Comparisons between Bieber and Chance are inevitable, given their age and online origin. But a more fitting comparison can be made with Cody Simpson, a 13-year-old from Australia signed to Atlantic. Simpson also started playing guitar and singing at a young age and was discovered last summer by an enterprising YouTube viewer: producer Shawn Campbell (Missy Elliott, Ciara).

“My parents thought it was some weirdo trying to get to me,” Simpson says, “but he seemed legit and I’ve been wanting to make music since I was 7, so I told my parents to let me try this.”

“I’ve never worked with anyone this young before, but Cody is so focused,” says Campbell, who helped Simpson get signed to Atlantic through executive VP of A&R Mike Caren.

Caren says that there’s room for more than one teen male artist in the marketplace. “Justin Bieber opened the door for teen music on rhythm and pop radio,” he says. “The really talented ones can break through.”

Simpson’s debut single, “iYiYi,” featuring labelmate Flo Rida, will be released June 1, and a full album is in progress. Caren says that it will be “more uptempo, energetic pop” than Bieber’s R&B-driven material. “It’s reminiscent of the Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync sound.”

Simpson is managed by Blue Williams, who also manages 15-year-old Khalil, signed to Island Def Jam Music Group’s Teen Island label. The label was first created for Bieber, says Kawan “KP” Prather, senior VP of A&R at Def Jam, adding that due to Bieber’s success, “people are less scared” to sign teen artists outside of the Disney/Nickelodeon formula.

Khalil’s debut single, “Girlfriend,” was written by Sean Garrett and sent to urban and rhythm radio formats May 24, and Williams says the focus is on developing him into a long-term artist. “Justin Bieber tapped into something that we had gotten away from as an industry,” he says. “Little girls like to have artists that make them scream, whose posters they can put up on their walls. We’ve been so busy chasing a hit single or a hot record, we stopped making stars.”

Also on Teen Island is Aaron Fresh, a 17-year-old native of Trinidad and Tobago signed to a joint venture through Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Entertainment. Fresh’s debut single, the reggae-tinged “Spending All My Time,” is bubbling under the Mainstream Top 40 chart, with airplay detected at 64 stations, according to Nielsen BDS.

“The youth movement is definitely in effect right now,” says Cannon, who was introduced to Fresh through a producer. “It comes around about every 10 years, and last time it was Usher, Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé. I see Aaron as a future superstar right up there with them.”

Meanwhile, even Simon Cowell appears to be on the hunt for the next Bieber. During an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show before his departure from American Idol, the music/TV mogul revealed that The X Factor will come to the United States next fall with a lower age limit: 14.

choose—English would be my favorite subject.”

Odd, since Biebs has a tendency to struggle with the language, but whatever—it’s adorable that he’s

Leuch’s tangle with the Bieber faithful began after he created “Shaved Bieber,” an application that can be added to a browser or downloaded as a Firefox add-on to cover up the words Bieber or Justin Bieber, and any photos with Bieber in their file names.

Leuch, director of research and development at web entities Rocketboom, Magma and Know Your Meme, created the application in about six hours and launched it two Mondays ago after a friend who’s an Internet researcher asked for an easy way to eradicate Bieber references from his online searches.

Leuch posted Shaved Bieber on the Free Art & Technology blog, for which he’s one of the creators, expecting people “to have a good laugh at it,” as well as to gather a little Internet buzz.

The first email he received was from a 15-year-old in Switzerland who said, “what you’re doing is going back to World War II all over again. Hitler wanting to erase Jews from society — you want to erase Justin Drew Bieber.”

Another irate fan tweeted, “I know many things about you and i know where you live. Just be aware. I might just appear behind you and shoot you with a gun.”

Another threatened to run away if her mother installed the application on her computer.

Bieber and his management haven’t commented yet, but Leuch hopes they’re getting a chuckle out of his creation.

Contrary to what the fans think, Leuch, 25, said he has nothing against Bieber and thinks it’s great he’s achieved such success at 16.

“I’m not one of the haters. I’m also not one of the Beliebers,” he said, referring to the term Bieber fans use.

The hate mail is still trickling in, but Leuch is taking it with a sense of humour.

“I get to say I died for my art.”

Pattie fick vårdnaden maj 1995 och tillät Jeremy att träffa sin son. I december 1996 krävde Jeremy att få "ökat umgänge och övernattningar" med Justin sa Pattie nej. Hon tyckte inte det var lämpligt med tanke på hans "onkontrollerbara våldsamma beteende" och alkohol och drogmissbruk.

Kim Kardashian apparently read MTV’s article about a potential girlfriend for Justin Bieber where her
little sister Kendall Kardashian is included. In her blog, Kim commented that the teen pop singing
sensation maybe a little too short for her sister although Justin is two years older than Kendall.

“I think I found a boyfriend for Kendall!” Kim began her post. “Well, MTV did, LOL. MTV chose their top
five girls who they think would make good girlfriends for Justin Bieber and Kendall was one of them. I’m
all for it.. I think he is just the cutest thing.”

“He seems like a really driven and focused kid, just like Kendall, and they would make an adorable couple
